after that chilly weekend and monday, it looks like it is finally warming up again. this time hopefully the temperature will reach the promised 14 degrees! but now that i look back on this winter, we really had it good. i only had to bust out my heavy duty super duper warm coat once. last year i wore it for a solid month straight, so i really can't complain.
along with looking forward to warmer weather, i can slowly feel the end of this semester coming up. i have a crazy ton of work to do before then, but now that midterms are over, its only essays and finals to go... haha
but seriously, im not stressed. this is completely opposite of every other year i've had at u of t, where by this time i usually didn't sleep or eat properly, where i only procrastinated, and called my mum complaining every day. at the beginning of this year i vowed to change my habits, and to stop stressing.
yes, i know this is easier said than done. but with a little focus and determination, i've found myself a lot happier, AND for the first time in years, i've been consistently getting good grades. see, theres something to it! rather than cram and devote all my time to schoolwork, i've developed smart strategies for studying, and i spend my nights crafting, drawing, knitting, watching tv, etc. i hit up my favourite coffee shops during the day to do work (treat it like a job) and when i get home, i relax and try not to associate my room with stress and anxiety. although there are a few days where i must get some work done at home, for the most part i've stuck to my plan, and i feel good.
i just thought i'd these new changes with you, because they do work. obviously everyone works differently and has different habits, but it is definitely worth taking a step back and re-evaluating your work habits and lifestyle. sometimes a little change goes a long way!
and now, after my little blurb, it's time for this weeks 10 things i love!
