summer reading.

i cannot express how awesome it feels to read for fun! to be honest, i didn't even realize how little i was reading, till i got out of school. it's not like i've ever had trouble picking up a book. i used to plough through them like candy- all types of books. but once i started university, everything was "more" important than picking up an agatha christie novel just for fun, there was no time... (yea there was. but it was easier to make up excuses)

one of my major plans for this summer has been to read, and i must say i've been keeping up with it! (finally)

when we went to europe, i brought along with me two novels by john le carre, author of tinker, tailor, solider, spy. but, i didn't choose that one to read, since the movie wad still fresh in my mind (hate seeing movies before i read the book!). instead, i picked up the first two novels: call for the dead, and a murder of quality, anddddd i'm hooked! definitely a great choice for people who love mysteries and cold war drama. i also picked up a random book at the wroclaw airport titled death in breslau, which was another hit!

since then i've read a few agatha christie novels, another john le carre, and i just finished cat's cradle by kurt vonnegut. it is now time to move on to the great gatsby (been meaning to get to this for a while now!!! and before the movie is out)

now on my days off work, i spend a few hours at pamenar with my favourite coffee and a good book. this is definitely one of my favourite parts of this summer so far!
