the winter is a busy birthday time for us, with my dad in december, mum and sister in february, and me in march!
to celebrate all three of our birthdays (mine a lil early), my mum baked her famous coffee walnut vodka cake. yup, she adds vodka to the icing, and she soaks the layers of cake with it. it is truly the most amazing cake, and i've never tired anything quite like it, or better than it!
